EMERCOM of Russia develops information interaction with federal executive authorities and state corporations

On March 3, the Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Victor Yatsutsenko summed up the results of interdepartmental interaction of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations day-to-day management bodies for 2020 were summed up.

Representatives of federal executive authorities, state corporations and organizations took part in the discussion of information exchange issues by videoconference.As it was noted, joint activities in the past year made it possible to timely respond to challenges and threats of a natural and man-made nature.

Currently, the RSChS includes the forces and means of 36 Ministries, departments and state corporations, each of which has a special information base and information services. The organization of work on the formation of the "database" began in 2020, this year the work continues. The need for such interagency interaction is justified by modern risks.

“Emergencies have become more unpredictable, have changed in nature and scale,” Victor Yatsutsenko noted. - Such severe weather phenomena as freezing rain have become more frequent. We have worked out an algorithm for its prevention. A unified information base has been created for the units intended to eliminate its consequences. "

On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, the department is carrying out a digital transformation of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations, within the framework of which a digital platform, new digital and intelligent technologies are being created, elements of artificial intelligence are being introduced into forecasting emergency situations. In particular, with their help in the past year, the number of deaths in accidents and emergencies decreased by 40% compared to the previous year. In total, over 108 thousand people were rescued in 2020.

“It is necessary to intensify the work on mutual information exchange in order to calculate risks and make timely effective management decisions,” the Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia said. "Only joint work on prevention will save human lives and minimize possible material damage."

Also, within the framework of the meeting, representatives of federal executive bodies, state corporations and organizations were awarded departmental awards based on the results of effective interaction in 2020.
