EMERCOM specialists train volunteers in professional skills

Within the framework of cooperation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Molodezhka All-Russian Popular Front's team, the first group of public rescuers under the professional training program for volunteer firefighters was trained on at the 120th Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Moscow.
Classes for volunteers are conducted by professional firefighters and rescuers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. In total, 45 participants of the youth organization will take the course of volunteer rescuers in the coming months.
The course program is designed to train fire brigades that carry out activities to extinguish fires, conduct rescue operations at the fire site and provide first aid to victims. During the training, participants will master eight specialized disciplines, designed for 16 academic hours.
The training will end with the passing of tests in the areas covered. In the future, they will be able, together with the Russian Emergencies Ministry, to take part in preventive raids for the people and measures to eliminate the consequences of emergencies.
