At the site of the International Salon “Integrated Security 2021”, an All-Russian meeting was held with the heads of the federal executive authorities and executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the problems of civil defense and protection of the population.

Opening the meeting, First Deputy Head of the EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan noted: “The issues that we raise here are closely intertwined with life. The epidemic that we had to face in 2020 highlighted all the strengths and weaknesses of our radiochemical and biological defense system. Today flags of 56 states are raised here - this is a sign that representatives of the International Civil Defense Organization are with us and we are jointly solving the global problems faced by all mankind. This have not happened before".

Deputy Secretary General of the ICDO Andrey Kudinov, on behalf of all the participating countries, thanked the audience: “What the Russian Federation has done within the framework of the RSChS system is a clear detailed approach to protecting the population and territories. Representatives of 35 countries, including 12 ministers of emergency services, have gathered in this room to exchange experiences and learn from the best in the struggle for the safety of people. "

The main topic of discussion was the integration of civil defense and the unified state system of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations to ensure effective protection of the population in both peacetime and wartime.

Deputy Minister Viktor Yatsutsenko spoke about the use of space technologies and information intelligent systems in forecasting, preventing and eliminating emergencies. He explained that the main efforts of the department are aimed at preventing the threat of emergency situations.

"The efficiency and coherence of the response of all links of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations is achieved by high-quality information exchange," Oleg Manuylo, Director of the Civil Defense and Population Protection Department of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, emphasized in his report. In order to organize information interaction and information support for decision-making in the field of civil defense and protection from emergencies, the introduction of automated information systems continues. These include, among other things, the Atlas of Natural and Man-Made Hazards and Risks.
