Head of the institute Denis Gordienko made a report on the results of the annual work of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fire Defense of the EMERCOM of Russia.

During the year, the institute conducted 31 scientific applied research, two thousand scientific and technical consultations. The scientists prepared 24 drafts of interstate and national standards and 5 drafts of rules and amendments to them, 8 drafts of methodological documents.

The team of scientists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Fire Defense together with the largest research center in Russia in the field of robotics (Central Research and Development Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics) received the first prize of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the project “Development and creation of a ground-based robotic complex of universal rescue equipment for search, rescue and evacuation operations in conditions Arctic and Far North”.

Last year, a large amount of theoretical and experimental scientific research was carried out to improve technical regulation in the field of construction and fire safety of multi-storey wooden buildings. At the same time, more than a hundred fire tests of various wooden structures were organized, several standards were developed by organizations that establish fire safety requirements for various buildings. Work will continue this year.
