Congratulations from the Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov on Rescuer’s Day of the Russian Federation

Dear Colleagues!

Congratulations on Rescuer’s Day of the Russian Federation!

Today, the professional holiday is celebrated by over 300 thousand personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

This year, the ranks of the department were replenished with four new units in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Our fighters are helping to restore infrastructure and clear mines. Their service involves a special risk - they work under fire.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations annually rescues more than 200 thousand people, eliminates up to 400 thousand fires and the consequences of about 260 emergency situations. At the same time, through joint efforts in the country, it was possible to reduce the number of victims in emergency situations by 26%. All this is thanks to the efficiency and coordination of the units.

You have to perform your professional duty in the most difficult conditions, at the limit of your capabilities and always at the risk of your life. Difficulties unite our team and strengthen character.

It is impossible to leave someone in trouble and not lend a helping hand to those who need it. For rescuers, nationalities, religions and distances do not matter. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has been building its work on these principles for 33 years. The foundation of a noble cause was laid by service veterans. Their experience is a science for followers.

The memory of our fallen colleagues lives in our hearts. The Ministry honors traditions and is famous for its heroes who are the first to come to the rescue.

Thank you for your courage, dedication and conscientious service to the cause of salvation. I wish you all the best, a positive attitude, faith in the future and inexhaustible optimism!
