A working meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Singapore was held in the Russian Emergencies Ministry
On December 14, a working meeting of the State Secretary-Deputy Minister Alexey Serko with the Singapore Ambassador to Russia by Mark Mark Neo took place in the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of interaction in the field of protection of the population and territories from emergencies of a natural and technogenic nature.
Alexey Serko noted that the international activity of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is extremely humanitarian. This allows you to build interaction with all services, the priority of which is the salvation of human lives.
A positive example of interaction was a joint work in the International Advisory Group on Search and Rescue (INSARAG). So, in 2023, international search and rescue units of Russia and Singapore reacted to a series of earthquakes in Turkey. In February of this year, in Singapore, the specialists of the two countries took part in the annual meeting of detachments certified according to the INSARAG methodology.
The Russian side noted the high level of organization of the educational process at the Civil Protection Defence of Singapore, and also discussed the possibility of training on the basis of the University of Specialists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
The invitation of the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies Alexander Kurenkov to participate in the XV International Salon “Comprehensive Security - 2024” was transferred to Mr. Mark Neo, which will be held in the Moscow Region at the end of May 2024.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Russia intends to continue cooperation with Singapore at the specialized venues of the UN and as part of the large regional forums of the APEC and ASEAN.
At the working meeting, representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Singapore visited the National Center for Management in Crisis situations of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, where they got acquainted with the Russian emergency response system, information systems, including space monitoring. The Ministry’s specialists showed the work of the operational shift of the Main Department of the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, where information about emergency situations and fires from all regions of Russia arrives. There are no analogues to the center and its hardware and software complex in any country in the world.
