The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia held a working meeting with the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic

On December 26, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations held a working meeting between Secretary of State and Deputy Minister Alexey Serko with First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Azamat Mambetov.
During the bilateral meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the field of protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.
Alexey Serko noted that Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation in the field of prevention and response to emergency situations is developing quite dynamically. This year, the implementation of a large-scale project to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the form of the supply of fire-fighting and aviation equipment has been completed; the chairmanship of the ICDO Executive Council has been transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation.
To enhance joint activities within the CIS, the Plan of Main Department of the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for 2024 includes three seminars on the exchange of experience for rescuers, specialists in the field of communications and space monitoring.
In addition, the Russian side invited its CIS partners to consider the possibility of holding exercises of the CIS Corps of Forces in 2025, as well as to take part in competitions for gas and smoke protection service units (1st International Grand Prix of professional skills of firefighters and rescuers) within the framework of the International Salon of Support Equipment security "Integrated Security - 2024" in the Moscow Region.
Taking into account the interest of foreign colleagues in studying the Russian experience of interaction between ground and air groups when extinguishing landscape fires, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Kurenkov decided to hold a seminar via videoconference in 2024. The specialists from the aviation units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Main Department of the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and the Fire Main Office were involved.
The parties also discussed the possibility of training specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of the National Mountain Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Novokuznetsk under the program “Training of specialists for conducting mine rescue operations.”
At the end of the working meeting, Azamat Mambetov thanked the Russian delegation for the warm welcome and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of interaction and development of bilateral cooperation in the field of combating emergency situations.
