The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations organized training for crisis management centers of the BRICS countries

As part of Russia's chairmanship of the BRICS association in 2024, on behalf of the Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov the training was carried out for the duty services of crisis management centers of the BRICS countries on the exchange of operational information in the event of a conditional emergency.

The main goals of the training were to test the stability of all communication channels, work out issues of exchange of operational information and increase the coherence of the crisis management centers of the emergency departments of the BRICS countries in the event of a conditional emergency.

According to legend, the training participants organized a rapid response to a simulated emergency associated with a devastating earthquake. Specialists on duty shifts worked in real time on a wide range of issues: from the initial passage of information and the installation of stable communication channels to measures for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the conditionally affected population.

The training participants noted that such events help strengthen ties between the BRICS countries within the framework of international emergency humanitarian response, as well as increase the level of coherence among participating states in eliminating the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies.
